Hmong Night

Come join us during Hmong Night on June 11 from 4 PM to 11 PM to celebrate the Hmong community in Michigan. A night full of education, music, food, drinks, and dance. This event is part of the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival 2022 5th annual event! This is a 2 days event from 11 AM to 11 PM on June 10 & 11.

Guidelines

COVID-19 Policy: We are not enforcing a mask mandate. But you may wear one for your protection. Please be mindful of others.

Admission Lines: Only VIPs will line up for the VIP area. General line does not exist but there are designated areas for VIP and general.

*General/VIP will be carded for alcohol at the beer tent or at VIP check-in*
*No outside alcohol, minors caught drinking will be escorted out with party*

General Admission: STANDING ONLY
Please stay in the general areas. There is no cost to attend the event. The event is for all ages.

VIP Admission: CHECK-IN STARTS AT 3:30 PM

*The person (purchaser) who purchases the table must check-in. VIP Guests cannot check-in.

*All VIP guests and the purchaser must arrive together.

*If VIP guests do not arrive at 3:30 PM EST, they can still attend but must know the name of

the purchaser (the person who purchased the table).

*VIPs will be provided with a special colored wristband at check-in.

*Please keep your wristband on at all times.

*DO NOT REMOVE YOUR WRISTBANDS. They are non-replaceable or exchangeable.

*Wristband is required for entry.

Cameras/Videos: You may bring your smartphone or any cameras to record. But please be mindful and do not block others.

Gifts: We respectfully decline any gifts. We do not have the manpower to pass your wonderful gifts to the artists and performers. Thank you for your understanding.

Runtime: The event will end at approximately 11 pm. Everyone must be out of Calder Plaza by midnight.

*If you can no longer attend the event, please contact us within 48 hours before the event. Your ticket can be transferred to another person. No refunds.*

1. What time can VIPs line up, and check-in?

A: At 3:30 PM EST, VIPs can line up and check-in. At 6 PM EST, VIPs standing only can check in.

Everyone will be carded and provided a special colored wristband for VIPs and/or 21 or over. No

checking in at/after 8 PM EST, anyone who check-in at/after 8 PM EST will be turned away. No

refunds.

2. Can VIP guests check-in?

A: No, the purchaser (the person who purchased the table must check-in before guests can).

3. Can I still attend as a VIP guest if I arrive late?

A: Yes, you can but you must know the name of the purchaser (the person who purchased the

ticket).

4. How many people are allowed at a table?

A: A table consists of 8 chairs for 8 people. This included babies, toddlers, teens,  and adults.

5. Will tables be reserved?

A: Yes, tables will be reserved.

6. What is included in the VIP package?

A: You get a reserved table during the Hmong Night from 3:30 PM -11 PM EST. You also get (2) drink tickets for anyone over 21 years old. For anyone under 21, there are non-alcoholic drinks available. Dinner will also be served from 4 PM - 6 PM EST. Food will be left at tables and not reheated if guests arrive late.

7. What if I want to eat/purchase food?

A: There are food vendors available onsite at the event. Please check and support the vendors
onsite.

8. Where can I park?

A: You can park on the streets as parking is free on the weekends. You can also park at Government Center Ramp, P&O Lot, and Ellis Parking for a fee. Rates are located at the gate.
